Green Garnet (Tsavorite) Beads
Tsvaroite’s lively green makes it a gem that brightens any season.  Though known as  “the poor man’s emerald,” tsavorite is one of the most valuable of the green garnets.  Bead it with amethyst and turquoise, or contrast it with the red or orange garnets.  
 

Tiffany’s in New York gave Tsavorite its name when the stone was found in 1967 near Tsavo National Park in Tanzania.   
Tsavorite is a variety of grossular.
